This is the most fabulous blanket ever and as soon as you refund me for the return I'm going to purchase the large size. You may not believe this but I am using is as a pillow topper for my bed. Used as a bed topper it is like laying on a cloud, best thing ever. I sure would like you to make small pillows like travel size, I would get several. Absolutely amazing stuff !!!!! LOVE IT !!!!!!This blanket was very soft, and the weight was good, but the knit is too big. Way too big. Looks like it was knitted on giant knitting needles. This would be good if you sleep hot, but it was like a giant knitted pot holder. Really stretchy, not in a good way. The pictures when ordering show what looks like a smaller, tighter stitch. Messy to sleep under, catching on fingers and toes. I returned itSmaller than expected, has big gaps, not good at keeping you warmI needed a weighted blanket for my daughter that distributed weight well with no beads. We had a cheap one with beads that's hard to manage. This one did not disappoint- & it's pretty, too. It's also good for hot sleepers because the chunky weave allows air to move. I would not recommend it for really young kids as the holes between weaving is pretty large. I could see a little one getting tangled in it.I really want to love this blanket because it does work well as a weighted blanket. It is soft, not too hot, and the weight is well distributed.Part of the reason I chose this blanket is because it is machine washable. Unfortunately after one wash the blanket got considerably smaller, the sides are curling up, and there are random long strings hanging out which are putting myself and my dogs, who sometimes sleep with me, at risk of choking.I wish this had worked better for me because the overall concept is great, But I need to be able to launder anything I am sleeping with every night and this just does not cut it, especially at this price point.This blanket is a really great option if you are more focused on weight rather than warmth. The material is soft and feels luxurious, and the knitted style means that there are holes throughout the entire blanket, so it is pretty ineffective at trapping heat. This is fine for me personally, because it means I can use it in the summer without getting overheated overnight, which is an issue I’ve had with weighted blankets in the past.I’ve had two other weighted blankets, and both of them were the solid kind with glass bead filling. On my first one, the blanket wore down within a year and the beads leaked out all the time. For the second, even though I never had issues with it leaking, the beads would pool to one side and the weight distribution would be uneven. The bead filled blankets also tend to make noise through the night as you shift around, which can be annoying. This blanket had none of these issues because its weight does not come from filling, so the weight is always even and I don’t have to worry about any leaking. Sometimes trying to adjust this blanket can be annoying because if you pull on the knit it will stretch rather than move, but I think I prefer a knitted, no-filling blanket to the solid ones. It’s difficult to tell in the pictures, but this blanket is just a stockinette stitch with a garter stitch at the ends. This means the two sides look different, which I personally don’t like for a blanket, but it also means it would be simple to repair if it came undone because those are both easy stitches.I have not tried washing this blanket yet but if you have concerns about how it will hold up, I bet you could just keep it in a duvet cover and wash that cover.Finally, the blanket has a very noticeable bumpy texture that some people with sensory issues may find to be unpleasant. I layer this blanket over my bedsheet so while I appreciate the weight, you can also feel a lot of very distinctive bumps from the knit of the blanket. I personally didn’t mind this after I got used to it but I can imagine some people would.This is a stunning sapphire blue chunky knitted blanket that's also weighted. I believe it weighs 20 pounds, but I was able to carry it back to the bedroom easily. It's definitely going to stay where you put it, though.You can use this gorgeous blanket as a throw or on your bed. It's very soft, and blankets don't get any more comfortable or cozier than this one. I really can't describe how deep and beautiful this color is. You just have to see it for yourself. I don't think it will get too hot in the wintertime; the cable stitching provides some air circulation.If you have a blanket hog in your bed, this would be a wonderful solution to that problem. It's going to be hard to hog a blanket that weighs 20 pounds and is made of thick knitted cable stitches.I plan to use mine both on my bed and as a throw. You know how so many times you get all set up in your chair or on the couch with a pillow and a throw blanket, maybe a book, your remote, your cup of coffee or glass of wine, and then you find out your feet are sticking out?? So you have to arrange everything all over again. Well, that won't happen with this weighted blanket.I have also had problems frequently with the blatant theft of my throw blankets by one of my dogs. She wants it, she takes it. I don't think so this time; this blanket weighs more than you do!This comes in a light burlap type fabric carrier with pretty straps and would make a wonderful gift for anyone. This would be especially nice for someone going off to college or anyone setting up their first home.This blanket is so beautiful and so soft and comfortable, it would be a great gift for anyone; everyone likes to curl up in a comfortable blanket every now and then.
